Chapter 7: Browsing the Web

BackWeb enables you to subscribe to channels linked to sites on the World Wide Web that are of interest to you, keeping you updated with the latest developments in your fields of interest. This allows you to receive the information that you need without wasting time looking for it.

After having interacted with an InfoPak, or during an InfoPak display, BackWeb gives you the ability to access the InfoPak's Web site for more information, to order a product, etc. In addition, you can directly access the channel's Web site for more information about the channel provider.

InfoPak Web Site

To access the Web site of an InfoPak:

Right click on an active InfoPak and select Access Web Site from the pop-up menu

OR

Select the InfoPak in the InfoPaks pane of the BackWeb window, select Properties from the InfoPak menu and click on the Author tab. Click the Open Web Page button if it is activated.

Channel Web Site

To access the Web site of a channel:

Select the channel and select Open Web Page from the Channel menu.

OR

Select the channel, select properties from the channel menu and click the Open Web Page button on the Connection tab.
